About Arrow Publications
Arrow Publications Ltd is local business which promotes ‘what’s going on’ in our communities. The business is owned by three women who are all committed to providing small villages in Doncaster with news and information relevant to them.
In 2005 Michelle Sidebottom published the first of many successful Arrow magazines, The Branton & Auckley Arrow. Recognising how difficult it was to find out what was going on in her community, Michelle thought it would be a great idea to have all the information in one place. Julie Morrell, who owned the successful Hatfield Flyer and Carolyn Grant who had recently launched The Haxey and Westwoodside Arrow, joined forces with Michelle in 2008 to form Arrow Publications Limited and there are currently eight magazines being distributed in and around Doncaster monthly.
Along with local news and information regarding events, clubs, fundraisers etc The Arrow magazines also include local businesses advertising their products and services which make it much easier for people in the community to find a local tradesman, financial advisor, nursery or any other business they may require.
By providing high quality publications and keeping advertising costs as low as possible, businesses, small and large have an affordable way of reaching local people. Producing a magazine that is interesting to read is both challenging and rewarding. The positive feedback from residents and local businesses is overwhelming and proves that Arrow magazines have a positive impact on both the community and local economy.
Community spirit is one of the most important things that make our towns and villages attractive places to live. Arrow magazines help to bring people together and act as a central publishing point for local news, events and useful contacts. If you have an interest in your community and have something you wish to share, please contact us.
“Arrow” magazines are supported by the local businesses that advertise in them, please support these businesses by purchasing their services.
