Data Protection GDPR
Legal Requirement from 25th May 2018
In order to comply with the new incoming legislation General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into effect from the 25th May 2018, we need to let you know what data we collect and how we handle or process once we have it.
In order to provide our services we need to collect and store:
- Company name
- Company address
- Delivery details
Individual employee names:
- Contact telephone and fax number
- E-mail addresses
- Credit checks
This information will only be used to send standard e-mails, such as quotations, order acknowledgements, invoices, statements, and for direct marketing purposes to send you information and promotional content that is relevant and of legitimate interest to you either directly or via a distribution list created and stored on an automated GDPR compliant such as Mailchimp.
This information is gathered from incoming enquiries verbally or electronically, from search engines and third party credit check companies. The data is processed onto our systems and any downloaded data is held in a protected folder only accessible by Arrow Publications Ltd senior staff and directors.
In the course of processing orders we may be obliged to send data to third parties, which may include product suppliers, transport partners business software providers etc. All information passed to these third parties will be handled in accordance with the guidelines of GDPR and only relevant to providing the products or services required. We will never sell your information to a third party. All completed documents will be held in our secure server.
To comply with GDPR regulations we require your consent for us to hold data from the 25th May 2018. Currently all our customers and suppliers are opted in for receipt of emails containing invoices, statements and marketing content. If, however this is not your preference, you can stop receiving this material by contacting us and we will do the rest.
